Welcoming LawUno: A Partnership Built on Community and Impact
We’re delighted to welcome LawUno as a new partner of So They Can. Partnerships like this are essential to our mission of creating lasting change through education, and we’re excited to begin this journey together, empowering our students and communities in Kenya and Tanzania.
LawUno is a purpose-built network for the legal profession, bringing together law students, practising lawyers and law firms within practice-area communities designed to encourage connection, mentorship and collaboration. The platform is built on the belief that strong professional communities create opportunity — a value that closely aligns with our own approach to community-led development. LawUno’s Founder, Jesse Shah, was born and raised in Kenya, and as he recently shared, “So They Can’s work in Kenya and Tanzania is deeply close to my heart, supporting education, dignity and opportunity where it matters most. LawUno is built on the belief that community creates real value, and So They Can live by that belief every day.”
Through this new partnership, LawUno will be supporting So They Can’s holistic approach to education and community development — excelling our impact that currently sits at over 55,000 children reached through our Education Program, and 36,000 community members empowered through our Community Development Program.

With a focus on strengthening education, LawUno’s support will contribute to our existing projects aimed at improving the quality of learning and teacher development. It will also help support essential school infrastructure projects, including classrooms and sanitation facilities, and ensure schools have reliable access to water and food — allowing students to learn in safe, healthy, and supportive environments.

We’re excited that LawUno will officially launch at the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards in March — a huge milestone, and one we’re proud to celebrate alongside them. We can’t wait to cheer them on.
