Meet Our New Sponsorship Manager

In 2009, Keri and I asked our good friend, Terri Anderson, to come on this journey with us, and thankfully she said yes! Terri founded our Sponsorship Program, enabling our first 120 kindergarten students to walk through the doors of Aberdare Ranges Primary on opening day in April 2010.

Nearly nine years on, and with 1,000 sponsorships, Terri is handing over the reigns to colleague Lisa Wagg, to continue the sponsorship success story, connecting people across the globe.

Terri’s new role will see her responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation, bringing to life our impact, So They Can Legal Counsel and continuing to oversee the Tanzania projects as Country Director.

Our sponsors are in the best of hands with Lisa taking on the role of Sponsorship Manager. Lisa has been working in our sponsorship team for the past seven years. I wish her all the best with her current trip to Kenya, where she will be spending time with the team and hand-delivering letters to the children. Please contact Lisa for all sponsorship queries on sponsor@sotheycan.org.

To our sponsors, I say ‘thank you’ for your support in providing a quality education to 1,000 children to enable them and their families to break the poverty cycle.

I love that the human connection, best described through the beautiful African philosophy of Ubuntu, ‘how can I be happy when others are sad’, is alive and well in our So They Can family, continuing to enrich all our lives.
