Sew Women Can is a social business, founded by So They Can in 2014, offering vulnerable single mothers vocational training in sewing clothes and making handicrafts. Once trained these women will have the opportunity to join our Micro-finance & Business School , complete the business course and start-up sewing and/or handicraft businesses of their own.
Currently we are training these young mums to make school uniforms for Aberdare Ranges Primary School that can then be purchased by our school families for our students. They are also making all the uniforms for our 120 children at the Miti Mingi Village. They are also creating beautiful crafts and jewellery that will be made available for sale.
All profits of the business go to support the operational costs of our other developmental projects.
