Become an advocate
Become a So They Can Advocate and help create lasting change for students, their families and communities in East Africa.
By raising awareness and building support for our work, you'll help ensure more children can access quality education and the opportunities it brings.
Who can become a So They Can Advocate?
Our Advocate program is open to anyone who shares our commitment to education in East Africa and wants to play an active role in raising awareness of our work.
Whether you're just starting high school or enjoying retirement, we'd love to welcome you to our community of Advocates.

Ways to get involved
Share our story
Present the mission behind So They Can and the impact we've achieved to date at your workplace, school, club or university. Our team will give you everything you need to deliver an engaging and inspiring session.
Fundraise for education
Host your own fundraiser or join one of our annual peer-to-peer campaigns. When you take part, you raise vital funds that sustain our work and help build awareness of So They Can within your own community.
Take on a challenge
Set yourself a personal goal or take on an adventure you've always dreamed of, and dedicate it to education. As you work towards it, invite friends, family and colleagues to support you through your fundraising page. Every contribution, whether $100 or $1,000, helps expand opportunity for students and their families.
Amplify our impact online
Help spread the word about our work by engaging with So They Can on social media, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and X. We ask Advocates to post at least once a month, add "Proud @sotheycan Advocate" to their Instagram bio, and share our content with their networks wherever possible.
