Strong communities create brighter futures for children.
While education is at the heart of what we do, we know children are more likely to succeed when their families are healthy, supported and economically empowered.
Through our Community Development Program, we work alongside communities to address the barriers that contribute to poverty and limit opportunities for children.
Together, these 4 projects strengthen families, improve health outcomes, empower women and young people, and create more resilient communities that can thrive for generations to come.

Women play a critical role in the wellbeing and success of their families and communities.
Our Women's Empowerment Project (Wezesha Business Skills Project) supports women to build sustainable livelihoods through skills development, financial literacy training, savings groups and income-generating activities including small start-up loans to establish and grow their businesses. By increasing economic independence and confidence, women are better equipped to support their families, invest in their children's education and contribute to community development.

Strong families create the foundation for children to thrive.
Through parenting workshops, tailored family support and community-based training, we help caregivers develop the knowledge, skills and financial independence needed to provide safe, nurturing and supportive home environments.
The project also works to strengthen family relationships, improve child protection and reduce the risks that can prevent children from reaching their full potential.

Healthy communities are stronger communities.
Our Community Health Project focuses on improving access to health information, preventative healthcare, treatment and health initiatives. Working alongside local health centres, we run regular medical camps that offer basic medical care including screening and referrals, maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene and overall wellbeing. We support Community Health Promoters who act as a link between community and local health centres, with capacity building and branding materials.
By addressing health challenges that impact families and children, we help create the conditions needed for communities to thrive.

Children and young people deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.
This project supports children and youth through education, mentoring, leadership development, life skills training and wellbeing initiatives that build confidence, resilience and self-belief. By helping young people develop the skills they need to navigate challenges and pursue opportunities, we empower them to become leaders within their communities.
