Extend your family circle.
Help us break the poverty cycle for our
families in East Pokot.

How It Works
Support our Family Strengthening Program
Can you imagine what it would be like to be put to work in fields instead of going to school? Or being sold into marriage at the age of just 12?
Every child needs a safe family unit to help them grow and develop. But in East Pokot, one of the poorest districts in Kenya, thousands of children are at risk due to high illiteracy rates and traditional cultural practices.
That’s why we developed our Family Strengthening Program, which holistically supports individual families over a period of 3 years — helping them to become self sufficient, more knowledgeable and able to support themselves long-term so that the family can stay together and importantly, their children can go to school.
Through a monthly donation of $120, you will enable us to work with more families to break the poverty cycle and be the bridge to a brighter future.

Our Community
Family Life in East Pokot, Kenya
Like most places around the world, family is considered to be important unit of society in East Pokot, Kenya. However, life as a family here encounters many challenges and hurdles that most of us will never have to experience.
Families in East Pokot experience hardship every day — from a lack of safe drinking water and sufficient food, to poor shelter and an absence of medical and wellbeing support, such as guidance and counselling services.
By choosing to extend your family circle, you're choosing to support a young family like this — providing them with access to basic human rights like education, food security and essential health care.
Your monthly contribution will help to support the family, so that the children can stay at school instead of entering the workforce. It will also empower and equip the parents with the support and tools they need so that they can comfortably provide for their children long-term.

This helps us to ensure we can best support all of the families that need our assistance.
Due to the vulnerability of the families we support, you will not receive a photo of a particular family within our program — however, upon signing up you will receive a 'special something' in the mail from our team on the ground who run our Family Strengthening project.
Again, due to the vulnerability and low literacy rates among our community, you cannot personally contact our community — however, we our social workers and team on the ground will write to you twice a year to update you on how your support is positively impacting the families we work with.
