Schools might be closed, but that can’t stop us dancing!

At So They Can, we are always excited to work and collaborate with other organisations to maximise our impact; whether that’s through education, empowerment projects or bringing together communities around the world.
From partnering with Day for Girls as part of our Keeping Girls in School program, to connecting with the awesome team at SolarBuddy to raise awareness of key events like World Environment Day, as well as our ongoing partnership work that’s providing the gift of light to so many children in East Africa — we know that working with the right organisations will only benefit our communities more.
Today, students from our Kwaraa and Morongi Primary Schools in Tanzania are participating in the International Literary and Music Forum hosted by Early Years Education Society (EYES-UK). Joining 40 children and 5 guest artists from Colombia, Germany, India, Jamaica, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Rwanda, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, our students will be dancing live from 13:00 UK time (22:00 AEST).
According to BBC Arts, regardless of skill level, taking part in creative activities like dance and making music helps children manage their emotions, build confidence and explore solutions to problems. Today’s forum aims to give children a chance to share their emotions in creative ways and connect with their peers around the world.
As you know, we love nothing more than an opportunity to share our best dance moves with you, so here’s a sneak preview of their performances… enjoy!
