Sew Women Can becomes fully independent
Published 16th Dec, 2020
Led by Amie Stead, So They Can’s amazing Project Manager, this group of women have worked tirelessly over the years to build both their technical sewing skills and their business knowledge. Following our Sustainability Plan, the Sew Women Can team is now empowered to run the business independently. This means they are able to continue to generate their own income, while also providing and creating new opportunities for their community. Amie will now work as part of the Sew Women Can team to continue to support the community and lead the business to success.
Sew Women Can will always be close to our hearts, and we have every intention of continuing to be its best customer. You can also continue to support these women by purchasing their products through Bibi&Me.
As always, thank you to our amazing community for your generosity and support, without which we wouldn’t be able to do this life-changing work.
Don’t forget you can keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram channels for more updates from our amazing communities in East Africa.
